I am married to Carl, my best friend and the love of my life. He works in construction, traveling where-ever the job takes him. For many years, I stayed at home, working at my own job and holding down the home front.
One day I said, “Life is too short to not spend it with the one you love” and I quit my job and moved into the camper with Carl. I love it. We have so much fun seeing new places and meeting new people.
Last year I stayed home in Midvale, Idaho for the summer. Carl’s job was in southern California, and I decided to avoid the heat and try to raise a garden (unsuccessfully!) When the temperatures in California cooled off, I headed down for the winter.
There wasn’t a lot to do. Everything was closed down and very few people had traveled to Desert Trails RV resort for the winter. I needed something to do.
I was feeling creative, and having a background in commercial embroidery led me right to Sewing Machines Plus, located in San Marcos, California. I fell in love with the Tajima Juki Sai, an 8 needle machine that bridges the gap between commercial and home embroidery.

The embroidery machine fits perfectly in the camper, and we had a lot of fun setting up a sewing room for me to work in. When the job changed, like they always do, we came home to Midvale. I set up a homebase sewing room and started working. I think I have found my happy place!
